This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Bara collects when you use our website at bara.ge, our web application, and our mobile clients; why we process it; and what rights you have. By using the Service, you agree to the processing described in this policy.

Why we process your data

We process personal data to:

Our legal bases follow common practice in Georgia and include performance of our contract with you, legitimate interests (such as security and moderation), and consent where required (for example, optional notification channels).

Automated processing and AI

We use automated tools to parse and moderate listing text, apply image moderation labels, and machine-translate content. Unclear or borderline cases may be reviewed by a human moderator. Content may be temporarily sent to AI and cloud providers only to perform these functions. We do not use your data to train models for unrelated purposes and we do not sell your personal data.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers in the following categories:

Moderation administrators can see the information needed to approve or reject listings. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect users and the Service.

Where data is stored

Data is stored with cloud providers, including AWS regions such as eu-central-1 for parts of our infrastructure. Exact storage locations depend on the vendor and may change as we improve the Service.

Retention

When you delete your account in the product, we delete or anonymize your personal data promptly, except where retention is required for legal compliance or abuse prevention. Messages you sent may remain visible to the other participant without your name or profile.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your account and personal data; withdraw consent for optional notifications; and restrict or object to certain processing.

Account deletion: You can permanently delete your account yourself in the product at https://bara.ge/delete-account (also available from account settings and Android app settings). Deletion is immediate and irreversible from your perspective. Published listings are visible to other users while your account is active. When you delete your account, your listings are removed from the Service.

For other privacy requests (access, correction, or questions about your data), contact privacy@bara.ge. We respond within a reasonable time.

Children

The Service is intended for adults. Users under 18 should use Bara only with parent or guardian consent where required by law.

Security

We use access controls, HTTPS, and separation of admin surfaces. No online service can guarantee perfect security. If we become aware of a breach that requires notification under applicable law, we will inform affected users as required.

Third-party services

Google sign-in and external links are governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies when you leave Bara.

Changes to this policy

The current version is always available at https://bara.ge/privacy. We update the date at the top when we make changes. For material changes, we will notify you in the product when practical.
